Quimica, Chemical: Pultrusion

Pultrusion is a productive process for the continuous production of profiles with constant sections of fiber composite material (glass, carbon, etc.) And resin (polyester, vinylester, acrylic, epoxy).

Outline of the process of pultrusion

In the production process of reinforcing fibers are impregnated and carried to the hot line. Impregnation of all glass fibers is taking place while passing through the bath containing the polymer matrix (resin). The glass fibers impregnated into the resin enters the hot line and are stretched. The heat gives rise to an exothermic reaction that sets in motion the process of curing (hardening) of the resin. Then the profile is on the line of pultrusion. The mechanism of alternating two cars were towed to ensure the continuous movement. The cut is made using an automated cutting system.
