A flu affects tourism in Argentina

in Mexico in May was the country that suffered at first hand the consequences of the epidemic of swine flu and Argentina who is now suffering from the effects of this disease. Throughout the month of June, cases of influenza A (H1N1) have increased, becoming mñas a thousand deaths to date.

That is why last July 1 the country went into national emergency, state that involves several steps to alleviate the health situation. Between them, they have suspended classes in schools by lengthening the school recess for the winter. While the country and its major cities always keep pace with, citizens are taking precautions, and many are on the street with chinstrap while some groups at risk such as children and pregnant women choose to stay in their homes. It is also recommended not to visit shopping malls and places mass.

National tourism is already feeling the effects of the epidemic and that is why the major tour operators expect a drop in bookings for travel within the country estimated at between 15% and 30% for the upcoming winter break. The largest decline is noticeable in travel to the city of Buenos Aires or in those traveling to the countryside but must stop in the Federal Capital.

Something similar happens in the major ski centers are prepared hard for what is their most hectic season of the year.

Those who choose to travel to Argentina at this time must have the same precautions as Argentine citizens, especially when washing hands with alcohol gel as this disease is contagious to touch eyes, nose or mouth.
