IMDEA Materials seeks a full-time PhD with a priority to candidates with experience and interest in cutting-edge approaches in the hybrid lighting field. We are looking for an individual with initiative and motivation to start her/his career in a new and dynamic research group. The research activities will be focused on hybrid organic/inorganic multifunctional light-emitting electrochemical cells. The candidate will learn the fabrication and characterization of films prepared with new blends, as well as the device assembly and analysis. She/he will perform the device characterization under in- and out-door conditions combining different spectroscopic and electrochemical techniques.
Requirements:
Excellent academic records and a strong commitment to develop an academic career in an international and multidisciplinary environment are expected.
Candidates should hold a Master in Materials Science, Physics, Chemistry or related disciplines.
Previous experience in manufacture of luminescent devices, Preparing, characterzation of hybrid materials for lighting applications, and solid laboratory techniques knowledge AFM, DSC, SEM, TEM, and spectroscopic - PLQYs, half-life times, fluorescence, etc.

Fluent oral and written English is required as this is the official language of the group.
