Furthermore, preparing the evacuation of all tourists who are in Cancun and Riviera Maya, including nearly 3,500 Spaniards, although none of them have symptoms of the disease.
"I urge, all without exception, that in these days of rest that we have, this bridge will go from 1 to 5 May, you stay in your home with your family," Calderon said in a message to the nation, broadcast on television.
"There is no safer place to avoid getting influenza virus porciana your own home," he added. The president has repeated the advice he gave the health authorities to protect the population of the virus, constantly washing hands, no hand to greet and kiss or go to the doctor if a fever and headache sudden.
Hours before this message, Health Secretary Jose Angel Cordova, announced the suspension of work in public administration from next Friday and May 5 as a measure to curb the epidemic of swine flu, and urged the authorities of the 32 states and more than 2,500 Mexican municipalities to do likewise.
