Application Specialist (m/f/d)
Tasks/Responsibilities:
In this position, you will be acting as an Application Specialist in the area of electrospray-time-of-flight mass spectrometry (ESI-QTOF) with a focus on Proteomics and Biopharma applications.
- Presentation of our HPLC-QTOF systems solutions to our international customers.
- Processing of evaluation samples from our customers and generation of result reports. Presentation of the results to our international customers.
- Following the initial installation of a new LC-MS system and demonstrate the complete solution for the customer’s application(s).
- Giving presentations at company events or international scientific conferences.
- Generation of application notes and marketing material.
- Supporting the commercial Sales Team in Europe with advanced technical information and presentations at customer’s site or via Webex.
- Providing high level customer trainings in Bremen and on-site.
- Technical support of our customers to enable them to fully exploit the capabilities of their instrument investments.
Your profile:
- Background as Chemist, Analytical Chemist, Biologist or Biochemist with a focus on protein and small molecules analysis would be ideal.
- Practical experience in either proteomics, protein, Biopharma or small molecule applications using HPLC-MS/MS. Proven proficiency in chromatographic separations.
- A thorough understanding of the role of mass spectrometry, in particular LC-MS, as well as of its challenges in the area of biochemical analysis.
- Excellent ability and willingness to communicate and closely interact with our international customers.
- A good knowledge in MS Office.
- Experience with Bruker software products or other proteomics LC-MS data processing software would be beneficial.
- Fluent in spoken and written English, additional languages would be a plus.
- Willingness to travel nationally as well as internationally for approx. 30% of the time.
- Your qualification profile includes also flexibility, the ability to work in a team, self motivation and commitment.
