The European Union banned the footwear and furniture dimethylfumarate

The biocide dimetilfumarato / DMF) has caused severe allergic reactions, including itching, irritation, redness and skin burns, and in some cases, acute respiratory problems in hundreds of consumers in the EU due to its use in everyday products imported from such as furniture and shoes. There has been even one case in soft toys for young children.

On May 1, a European Commission decision comes into force to ensure that no consumer product containing highly sensitizing DMF was placed in the EU market. If you were already on the market, these products must be removed immediately, and consumers should be informed about the serious risk. The Commission decision is a broad measure of emergency in the EU, pending the adoption of a more permanent solution harbor.
