Blog of the Day: Public Health and more. Contributions of an epidemiologist who is experiencing the epidemic of influenza A H1N1

For reasons that are beside the point I have not been in the eye of the hurricane of the epidemic and the posts I have been hanging over all this time, have been taken from official documents, hence its formal and less personal tone.

This is all very well because it was providing information and making it accessible, especially to fellow Mexicans that they were demanding, and that half of the problem rarely has the opportunity to expunge all sources to extract the necessary information and media misinform rather than inform us.

Note that when a new disease and it is presented in epidemic form, as was the case, health authorities have put in the worst possible scenario because it is better to err on the side by default, but this action has the unintended effect of spreading alarm in the population. Well have been deployed in phases until the pandemic phase 6 in which we have installed a few days ago while waiting to be activated plans for Phase 6, because worldwide it has been decided to continue with the activities of the Phase 5 (containment of the emergence of new cases and isolation of the treatment-known), we can reflect on what has happened and what is happening at this time.
