Salary: £24,000 - £28,000
SRG is recruiting for an R&D Chemist to join a well-established manufacturer of surfactants, phosphates and phosphonate based chemicals. Based in West Yorkshire for over 45 years, the company has a portfolio of over 200 speciality chemical products which includes; Agrochemicals, Water treatments, Cleaning products & Detergents.
They are now seeking to hire an additional R&D Chemist to join their experienced team as part of an increased investment within R&D and new product development. This opportunity will be well suited to a chemist with previous experience of formulation & product development who is looking for an employer who can offer long term stability & progression prospects.

Role / Description
This position will be responsible for the development of new products and the optimisation of existing formulations. Working alongside a small, but experienced team key duties will include:
- Developing & formulating new products to meet customer & market requirements.
- Preparation & analysis of prototype samples to determine product and QC specifications.
- Sourcing & evaluating new raw materials.
- Providing technical support to customers & internal departments.
Working hours
08:30 - 17:30 Monday - Friday
Requirements
- A degree or similar qualification in chemistry or a relevant field OR Proven experience within a similar role.
- Demonstrated formulation experience of chemical products.
- Experience with surfactants, detergents or biocides would be advantageous.
- Enthusiastic, Self-motivated and team focused.
