Your role:
- As a member of Kao R&D you will join a dedicated team of scientists in the Kao Research Labs
- Your focus will on the understanding of Kao IP-strategies & processes and competitors patent landscape to protect Kao IP and support allocated R&D- and business areas and functions
- You will closely work with relevant Kao Core Technology Labs and relevant Development Research Labs to constantly access project progress
- Your ultimate target will be the effective protection of Kao IP and to ensure freedom to operate
- You will manage patent applications and office action in cooperation with internal and external experts
What we expect:
- Scientist with expertise in Chemistry and strong interest in dealing with patent applications, patent clearance and office action
- Successfully completed University degree (PhD; Master) in Chemistry and related subjects
- Creative and challenging mind and spirit
- High flexibility (e.g. living and working in different geographies)
- Strong communication and cooperation skills
- Excited to experience and embrace different cultures
- Deep interest in Japan and the Japanese culture
- Very good English language skills (oral and written)
