This is a fantastic entry-level opportunity for a recent chemistry graduate to employ their technical expertise in a laboratory-based position at a speciality chemical firm in Essex. The Laboratory Chemist role is ideal for a recent graduate in a relevant chemistry field ideally with a placement year in industry and the successful appointment will be able to build a broad process-related skillset for excellent career progression potential.
Your day to day duties as a Laboratory Chemist will be:
  • Learning to develop new chemical additive products
  • Liaison with lab and production staff to ensure reproducibility and regulatory compliance
  • Research into new revenue streams
  • Use of common analytical methods towards in-process and quality control procedures
You will be an ideal candidate with this background:
  • A degree in a related scientific field
  • An interest in laboratory work in chemistry
  • The ability to appreciate the commercial factors of a product-driven role
  • Access to a car is required due to location
  • A strong track record in laboratory classes
  • A good team-working approach
