About the job
Summary
The Nuclear Faculty, Defence Academy, provides education and training to Service and Civilian personnel in support of the Naval Nuclear Propulsion Programme and bespoke courses for the wider nuclear industry. Courses range from introductory to postgraduate level and the successful candidate would be expected to contribute to design and delivery of training, research, student project supervision and associated tasks. The successful candidate will also be expected to undertake research in areas related to the Naval Nuclear Propulsion Programme.
Job description
You will be expected to lecture in nuclear engineering and science with emphasis on Nuclear Propulsion Programme safety management, nuclear system maintenance and administration. Good communications skills are essential.
Responsibilities
The applicant should provide evidence of relevant experience in an academic, industrial or research environment.
Applicants should have an honours degree (2:2 minimum), preferably in Engineering, Science or a Mathematics discipline AND have a postgraduate qualification and relevant experience in an academic, industrial or research environment PLUS a formal certified teaching qualification.
