A leading manufacturer of polymer technology are recruiting for an Area Sales Manager to cover the area of South East (Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire, Warwickshire, Lincolnshire, Oxfordshire, Surrey, West Sussex, Norfolk). This position will be home based required travel to customers across the South East and East of England, with 1 day per week required on site in East Midlands for manager meetings. Due to significant growth within the business, an Area Sales Manager is required to help drives sales to continue company growth which has arose due to a successful product development strategy. The successful candidate will be responsible for provide technical sales for advanced products through customers trials and providing technical support to customers.
To be considered for this Area Sales Manager position, you will ideally have a degree in Science (ideally Chemistry or Materials Science), with the ability to deliver technical sales and technical support to customers within the South East of the UK. This position would be suitable for someone previously in a technical support roles within the polymer sector, looking to move into technical sales.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical sales for technical advanced polymer products
- Assist with customer trials and demonstrations
- Liaise with all levels within customers' business structure
- Provide technical support to existing customers
Knowledge and Experience
- At least a degree in Science, ideally Chemistry or Materials Science
- Previous experience within a technical support or technical sales roles within the polymers or chemicals sectors.
- Flexibility to travel across the South East when required.
