InspiractionLa cotton bag Inspiraction NGO has set Guinness record breaking ball to create the plastic bags the world's largest. To do this, they need to collect a total of 17,000 bags to undertake this form of protest that prompted world leaders gathered in Copenhagen to commit to cutting emissions of CO2.

The organization will collect bags up on 12 December when the ball will be moved to the gates of the Ministry of Environment. So far, 8000 have been collected bags.

La ONG Inspiraction se ha propuesto romper el récord Guiness para crear la bola de bolsas de plástico más grande del mundo. Para ello, necesitan recolectar un total de 17.000 bolsas para llevar a cabo esta forma de protesta con la que incitan a los líderes mundiales reunidos en Copenhague a que se comprometan a recortar las emisiones de CO2.

La organización recogerá bolsas hasta el próximo 12 de diciembre cuando la bola será trasladada hasta las puertas del Ministerio de Medio Ambiente. Hasta hoy, se han recogido 8.000 bolsas.

Para conseguir su objetivo, un equipo de ocho personas recorre Madrid desde octubre dando la opción a los ciudadanos de deshacerse de sus bolsas de plástico inservibles. A cambio de 10 bolsas no biodegradables, Inspiraction regala un saco 100% algodón.

El sábado 13 de Noviembre estarán en la calle Fuencarral en Madrid (al lado del mercado) de 17.00 a 20.30 horas. Además, los “bici-recolectores” están dando vueltas todos los días por la capital para recolectar bolsas, pegar carteles sobre el récord y juntar firmas contra el cambio climático.
