An Ohio company that specializes in industrial plastics and process equipment fabrication, installation and service plans to build its first out-of-st

Process Systems and Services said today that it is investing $350,000 to build a 10,000-square-foot facility in Florence, creating up to 20 jobs during the next three years.


PSS, which primarily serves the steel finishing, chemical, pharmaceutical, utility and process markets, will begin hiring and training additional fabricators and service technicians next year.

Dieter Volk, PSS president, said his company studied "numerous" potential locations along the Ohio River and tri-state area.

"We are calculating that, as economic and manufacturing conditions hopefully improve, having a permanent base of operations in southern Indiana will allow us to more efficiently and cost-effectively serve our industrial plastic and process equipment customers in Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio and other surrounding states," said Volk in a statement.

Florence is a city near the Kentucky border and is 115 miles southeast of Indianapolis.
