The swine flu goes across borders.

So far, all the fatalities, at least 160 people have already died because of this epidemic were recorded in Mexico. But a baby 23 months old, resident of Texas (USA) became the first fatalities in the country and outside Mexico. In United States, as in Spain and throughout most of the world, have detected several cases of persons who had contracted the H1N1 virus, but until now there had been no deaths that could be assigned to this infection.
The World Health Organization would raise the alert to Level 5.

At the time of this writing, in United States there are 65 other people we have confirmed the swine flu. Fortunately, most of them are in good health and only five are hospitalized. Barak Obama president is considering the suspension of school activities if it adds to the spread of new strain of swine flu, the situation is "serious" and must take the "maximum precautions."

The World Health Organization noted that all countries should "remain vigilant" and prepared for the evolution of a possible pandemic of H1N1 virus. Moreover, the international health agency said that the possibility of raising the alert level, now located in four-stage as they confirm new patients. He also noted that it should increase the measures implemented to control the spread of the virus. Some countries already have suspended flights to and from Mexico, while others seriously considering doing so.

Update: As reported by health authorities in Texas, the deceased child was a Mexican and not American as was assumed at first. The victim was in Matamoros, a city that shares the border with Texas. The child was brought to Texas by her parents for medical care, and then moved to Houston, where he died last Monday in spite of care.
