The authorities confirmed the first case of influenza A in China

Chinese health authorities today confirmed the first case of influenza A in the mainland, according to state news agency Xinhua. A man of 31 years called Bao has tested positive of H1N1 virus in the province of Sichuan. Bao flew from Tokyo to the United States last Friday. He arrived in Beijing from Tokyo on Saturday on the flight NW029 and U8882 took the flight bound for Chengdu, capital of Sichuan Province, the same day. Before the weekend, a traveler was the Mexican first and only case of influenza A in Chinese territory, in Hong Kong. Already been discharged from hospital.
