The World Health Organization (WHO) today raised to 4379 the number of confirmed cases of influenza A (H1N1) in 29 countries.

The UN health organization said that the rising number is due mainly to the increase in confirmed cases in United States, with 2254 cases, and Mexico - 1626 cases including 48 deaths so far -.

WHO maintains that for the moment or not recommended travel restrictions and border closures scheduled to contain the disease. However, it considered "prudent" to postpone sick as far as possible any foreign trip planned to take.

Similarly, calls to people who are beginning to suffer the first symptoms to seek medical care coordinated with local authorities.

WHO reminded the public that "there is no risk of infection through the consumption of cooked pork or pork products."
